Dear Meadowbrook Elementary Families & Community,

Welcome to the Meadowbrook Elementary School website. We hope you find many useful resources here and continue to visit regularly to learn about upcoming school events, programs, and recognitions.

I am very excited to continue into my seventh year as principal at Meadowbrook Elementary School. Our theme for 2025–2026 is “Together We Soar!”, and our vision remains:

“Meadowbrook will provide rigorous standards-based instruction to meet the needs of the 21st Century learner in a safe and secure learning environment.”

We are so proud that our collaboration, dedication and highly effective teaching, we increased our school grade to a "B" for the 2024-2025 school year!  We have a great team, and we look forward to working with our students, families, PTA, community, and Partners in Education to make this a very special year for Meadowbrook Elementary School. We invite you to join us in our vision and in reaching our goals.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Personal Snapshot

• My son graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Computer Science Engineering, launched an edtech company, started his first year teaching computer science and gaming and lives in South Florida.

• My daughter graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering, works for a large food and beverage distributor, and lives in South Florida.

• My wife is an elementary school teacher with Broward County Public Schools.

🏆 Key Accomplishments from 2024–2025

• Earned a "B" school grade!

• Strengthened the Dual Language Program in Grades K–5

• Recipient of the Imagine Learning National Award (2021, 2022 & 2024)

• Earned the Golden Library Award (2024 & 2025)

📊 Academic Highlights – 2024–2025

• Reading: Increased ELA from 41 to 52% proficiency          
• Grade 3: +6 points overall, +29 in learning gains, +33 in gains for the lowest 25%
• Grade 4: +16 points overall, +12 in learning gains
• Grade 5: +10 points overall
• Math: Increased Math from 48 to 53% proficiency
• Grade 3: +27 in learning gains, +43 in gains for the lowest 25%
• Grade 4: +9 points overall
• Grades 3–5: +5 points overall
• Science: Increased Science from 34 to 46% proficiency

These results are a testament to the dedication of our teachers, the resilience of our students, and the unwavering support of our families. Together, we are building a culture of excellence and equity.
